Kate and Charles Allerton Castle and Swinton Park

D3S_8917 D3S_8922_DS89288-Edit

This weekend the Video and photography team visited two of Yorkshires more luxurious wedding venues all in the same day. 2 hours before the day was to begin, the teams split up into two, with Emily and Dave meeting Kate and Charles at Swinton park for their preparations and Claire and Megan meeting The boys at the church. Back at Swinton park the team had their work cut out with over 2 hours to take advantage of the stunning grounds this 5* Yorkshire  Wedding venue has to offer. Its not often that the Video and the Photography team get asked to photograph the grooms preparations, but with Charles laid back and friendly nature it became apparent that the day would be filled with fun, laughter and stunning photo opportunities.
When faced with such stunning surroundings, its easy to loose track of time so before they knew it, it was time to head over to the church for the ceremony. Unfortunately the day before the wedding the vicar told the bride and groom that they couldn’t have ceremony video any more and no photography at the front, however with the teams persuadive ways, they still managed to get some quality footage at the back. Its always worth double and triple checking with your church because many of them have different rules.
After the ceremony, the team left Kate and Charles to be congratulated whilst setting up for the confetti shot but then it was straight to Allerton castle where the award winning photographers and videographers prepared for the rest of the photos.
Allerton is a stunning castle in North Yorkshire perfect for a luxurious wedding filled with class. Offering plenty of photographic opportunities this venue is perfect rain or shine, but luckily despite the rain just a night before Kate and Charles had a stunning summers day the weather stayed perfect all day.
The happy couple had organised a string quartet and canapés for their drinks reception which was perfect outside in the sun and made well for some of the more casual photos and footage that the team love to get.
Kate and charles had thought a lot about what photos and had a few meetings with Dave to discuss their needs, they work together to make the most out of their special day which is always beneficial to the end results.
Once the formal shots were out of the way, both the video and the photography team took the wedding  party for a short walk around the grounds and got some smaller group photos. Then they  had time to focus just on the picture perfect Kate and Charles for their more romantic photos.
Both of them seemed to be no stranger to the camera as they posed for photos.

As the meal was later in the day starting late evening, the evening party followed straight after and the happy couple gathered guests after a quick chance into their dancing shoes. Kate and Charles had been practicing their favourite Strictly come Dancing routine An American Smooth for months and even bought Kate a different dress to perform it in.
It was a great way to end the night everyone seemed impressed at their confidence and not to mention their 3 incredible lifts!

If you’d like to discuss with the team your wedding at Swinton Park or Allerton Castle please get in touch either by phone or through our website www.davespinkphotography.co.uk

Kate and Gavin Wentbridge House

_DS87772_BW

This weekend started out with at Wentbridge House, a venue we visited last september. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t quite as we expected it to be but this didn’t stop the leeds based photographers from getting some stunning shots from this picture perfect venue. Dave and Megan started out with Kate photographing her preparations. Despite the weather Kate seemed calm, collective and ready to meet her husband to be at the alter where Megan was
taking photos of the guys before she was to arrive.
Dave and Megan were not allowed any photography at the front of the church which was a real shame, how ever the team still managed to get some stunning photos from the back. By the time the happy couple and left the church Dave and Megan had noticed that the weather had brightened up for a little while meaning a quick dash back to went bridge ready to get straight back into photos.
Once all the guests were safe in shelter Kate and Gavin along with the team utilised the gardens as much as we could considering the weather.
Before long it was time for the speeches. Wentbridge offers a very generous amount of space in their rooms, meaning when the team photograph the speeches they rant in the way of everyone and can also easily get photos of peoples reactions and the little things happening around the room that the bride and groom may miss.

If you’d like to discuss with the team your wedding at Wentbridge House Hotel please get in touch either by phone or through our website www.davespinkphotography.co.uk

Hayley and Robert

This weekend the Dave Spink Photography team headed to the Mercer Hotel in Otley with Photography, videography and even a Photo Booth for the nights celebrations. The day started out slightly rainy but this didn’t put a slow down the team or the happy couples moods. From day one they knew the couple would be a pleasure to work for.
Before the ceremony was to begin, Dave and Megan went to find Rob and his ushers to grab some pre wedding photos before Hayley was to make her grand entrance.  Once Rob was hidden away in the ceremony room Both the Video and Photography team were able to get some footage of the girls together before the ceremony started.
Once thing the mercer hotel has to offer is a lot of space in their ballroom. This helps the team get some nice wide shots without being intrusive.
Thankfully the weather had cleared up during the ceremony and the the blue skies made an appearance so this was great opportunity to get everyone out side and take advantage of the gardens around the back.
As the group shots got smaller and the guests ventured back to the bar the team could now focus on just the bride and groom.
As the sun was now shining we were able to.
The groom had prepared a slide show for everyone to watch filled with photos and memories which everyone could watch after the speeches.
While the room as being changed around, the team saw this opportunity to putt together their new and improved Ultimate Photo Booth.

Jayne and Steven Sandburn Hall

D3S_5552-Edit

Yesterday the Dave Spink Photography team headed over to one of yorks finest wedding venues, Sandburn Hall for Jayne and Steven’s crazy yet wonderful wedding celebrations.
Despite the father of the bride loosing a golf buggy, the registras being an hour late and only 5 weeks to organise their wedding you could safely say that Jayne and Steven were one of  the happiest couples that they had photographed in a long time. It soon became clear that all that matters on your wedding day is the two of you. So to be sure that you have them memories captured for life enquire now about all our packages. Dave and Megan Started the day at the close by at Grifton Lodges where Jayne was preparing for her special day.
Although the day started out calm, it soon picked up its pace as the clock was ticking. So with some quick makeup shots, photos of the flowers and her dress it soon became time to meet Steven and his ushers back at Sandburn for some quick pre wedding photographs.

Before the ceremony was to being, Dave and Megan took that opportunity to capture the outstanding attention to detail and effort that the two of them had put into their decorations throughout the entire room in such a short space of time.
The Ceremony took place in a converted barn with wooden beams framing the room beautifully, with a stunning window wall at the front looking out to the stunning scenery that Sandburn had to offer. Perfect as the weather was beautiful. Once the ceremony had finished The award winning photographers had the opportunity to take advantage of the sun during group photos.

Not only does Sandburn offer stunning views, you even get use of their quirky garden area. Although this section isn’t the largest garden the team have seen , it was perfect for them smaller group shots.
With plenty of time left, the team headed upstairs to see how the wedding breakfast room was looking, and what a transformation it was.
The tables were equip with everything from hand crafted hearts, old photos , beautiful name tags and stunning centre pieces. The seating plan was presented in an old style suitcase with travel labels for the table numbers.

It was now time for speeches. The father of the bride didn’t have a piece of paper, or a rehersed  speech, he just spoke from the heart and told many wonderful memories about his daughter growing up.
They say the grooms speech is meant to be the easiest, just thank people, hand out gifts and try not to cry. Steven put his own energetic touch mentioning many things that had gone on in the process of preparing for the day, including Ninja Nat (their own personal wedding planner who was also a bridesmaid) Jayne and everyone on the room were touched by his kind words.
Last but not least, the best man. Introduced with the Eye of the Tiger you could see that he wasn’t shy. He kept everyone laughing and it was a great speech to end the wedding breakfast.
While the last stages of the day were being put together Megan headed outside to get some smaller family shots and to take advantage of the stunning sunset.
All that was left was an Evening reception, where they had organised a band, DJ and even some funky props that people would take photos with. They ended the night with a Zorba dance which certainly got everyone up and dancing.

All in all it was a fantastic day with fantastic people. It was a pleasure photographing their special day and we are sure that they will love the photos that Dave and Megan have got.

This weekend Dave and Megan , award winning leeds photographers attended Rochelle and Lee’s special day at Howley Hall. The team started the day at St Marys church in Morley.
Unfortunately the weather wasn’t looking too good at this point so with that in mind the team needed to work fast and efficiantly to ensure the grooms men all and their photos taken and kept dry before the bride was to make her grand entrance.

A short break in the rain meant Dave and Megan could quickly get some group photos outside the church. With just an hour to spare from the time Rochelle and Lee came out of the church to the time they had to be ready for their wedding breakfast the Dave Spink Photography team headed off to the venue to prepare for the next stages of the day.
As the happy couple arrived, Dave stopped with the vintage style bus to get some more romantic shots of just the two of them whilst Megan photographed all the details of the wedding breakfast rooms.
Luckily a second brief break in the weather meant Rochelle and Lee were able to get a few extra snaps to add to their stunning collation of photos.

Along with photography Rochelle and Lee hired our new ultimate Photo Booth, currently on offer for just £375!

Jo and Gareth 1st May The Mansion, Roundhay

sutcliffe0475

On the 1st of May Jo and Gareth had their special day at one of Leeds finest venues, The mansion in Roundhay park. The weather was looking glorious all morning, so photos in the sun were looking very promising which is always nice to see! Dave and Megan met the happy couple at Roundhay ready for their ceremony to begin. The nice thing about Roundhay is that the ceremony room is very light, lined with windows and natural lighting so getting photos in there is effortless!
With he sun shining bright and beautifully, it was impossible for people not to smile and be happy on the day as this happy couple tie the knot in front of their friends and families.

Once the ceremony was over, the team had the change to wonder around outside whilst the bride and groom was greeted by their wedding guests before getting the more formal shots.
Although on most occasion Dave and Megan will get family photos outside but they has to take advantage of the mansions famous stair case.
After the group shots were done and dusted all that was left to do was the photos of just the two of them and at the Mansion in round hay you don’t know where to start.
The mansion offers perfect photo opportunities inside and out and if you have enough time you could even go for a walk around the stunning park its self.

Ben and Heather East Riddelsden Hall

_DS83328
This weekend, these award winning photographers from Leeds were delighted to be returning to East Riddelsden hall. Located in the historical town of Keighley, this 17th century manor house is always a please to be photographing at.To kick start the day, Megan and Dave met their stunning bride; Heather, back at the house photographing her preparations.  Before they got shots of all the bridesmaid’s the Leeds Wedding photographers headed upstairs to photograph her stunning lacey dress looking almost as beautiful hung up as it did on Heather. The dress made a perfect backdrop for all her accessories she was to wear on the day.Prep was unusually calm, no rushing around at all as everything was perfectly organized.  Once Dave and Megan had finished with the preparations, they headed to the closeby church to meet Ben and his groomsmen. It came to their surprise when the vicar allowed both Dave and Megan to photograph anywhere within St Mary’s Horsforth, many people commented on just how welcoming Father Boniface was.   Heather and Ben had organized a local school choir to sing along throughout the hymns, a beautiful touch that really gave the service that something extra!Unfortunately the weather wasn’t too great, so the team kept a few people back to get some photos before heading to East Riddelsden Hall.

Luckily the rain had stopped by this point meaning a quick run around the gardens with the Happy Couple to make sure they got as many stunning photos as they could before the heavens opened again.  Before long it was time for speeches. At East Riddelsden hall the wedding breakfast is held in an old converted barn just across the lake giving the photos a quirkier feel to them.

Whilst everyone ate, the team started setting up one of our popular photo booths.  Hiring our photo booths can be a perfect end to your special day and a lovely keep sake for your guests as we, unlike most, offer double prints, one for your guests and one for your complimentary guest book provided on the day.

Serena and Ross at Hollins Hall

 _DS81569-Edit_BW

Serena and Ross Booked our Gold Package, Meaning these wedding photographers from Leeds had the pleasure of staying with the happy couple all day.  With the entire wedding day at Hollins hall this meant the team had more time with the bride and groom. First they met Serena at the  hotel preparing for her big day. The team had the bridal suit to themselves whilst photographing the dress shoes and other accessories she planned on wearing on the day.

Although Serena worked very hard not to cry before the ceremony as soon as her dad walked through the door the tears started as the emotions ran high.

It was now time to meet a nervous Ross before the ceremony began to start with some of the grooms men photos.

With everyone anxious to see the stunning bride, they then awaited for her grand entrance. All eyes on Serena it was clear to see that Ross’s nerves were all gone as soon as she stepped into the ceremony room.

Vows were said, tears were shed and rings were exchanged , the were now husband and wife!

The happy couple went for a ride in their stunning wedding car just after the ceremony so this meant the Leeds based photographers had a bit of time to get some more casual photos and to run around the wedding breakfast room before they arrived.

With many photographic areas both inside and out, making each photo different and unique became almost effortless with regards to location.

Once the group photography at Hollins Hall was done they were now able to get on with speeches and wedding breakfast whilst the team set up for the night do.

With a quick turn around of the room and extra guests arriving it soon became time for the first dance and cutting of the cake

Kayleigh and Chris at The Chevin Lodge

_DS82272-Edit_BW

Kayleigh and Chris celebrated their special day at the stunning Chevin Lodge Hotel located in the relaxing landscape of Otley. It was an early start for these Award winning photographers from Leeds when meeting Kayleigh and her girls back at their house photographing her preparations. Unlike most brides, Kayleigh had her nerves under control. Her dress was a beautiful and fitted her princess theme down to a T. Not forgetting her stunning pair of shoes that were personally decorated with lots of pretty gems that a friend had decorated . Once the team were finished with the preparations, they then headed to the church to meet the guys. Chris seemed wel, which was surprising seen as he was up at 6 in the morning playing golf!
Before Kayleigh arrived, the Leeds based photographers had to get everyone inside so no one saw her beforehand.
Luckily this week the Dave Spink Photography team were able to have both photographers at the front of  St James Church in Silsden  This was perfect for getting photos of both the bride and grooms expressions throughout the ceremony.
Although the pair seemed calm beforehand, this certainly wasn’t the case when Chris’s stunning bride made her grand entrance.  There wasn’t a dry eye in the house.  This week Kayleigh and Chris had booked a vintage bus to ferry everyone back the Chevin Lodge Hotel where they celebrated the rest of the day. This meant when the happy couple arrived first with us at the Hotel, we were able to get a few romantic shots before guests arrived. But as soon as the bus arrived the speedy photographers had to snap away quick when it came to the group photography as they only had half an hour until the wedding breakfast and speeches were to start. This wasn’t a problem for the Dave Spink Photography team as they don’t waste any valuable time. The Award winning photographers understand that you and your guests don’t want to be standing in the cold for hours so they make this part of the day as quick and painless as they can, without forgetting any of the key moments.
This left the team with just enough time to have a quick nosey in the Wedding Breakfast room where the princess theme continued throughout consisting of a stunning castle cake and tables named after the popular Disney characters. Before the speeches, both the Groom and the Best man seemed extremely nervous, however both of them did an amazing job!  It was now time to set the Leeds based Photo Booth up before the reception was going to start. Kayleigh had hired a stunning chocolate fountain which looked delicious.
To fit in with the Princess theme even more, the happy couple provided their own props which consisted of lots of crowns, wands and many Disney princess accessories.
Before long, after a hectic day it was already time to get photos of the dance.
To round the day off Kayleigh had a dance with her dad. A Perfect end to a perfect day
