This weekend the Video and photography team visited two of Yorkshires more luxurious wedding venues all in the same day. 2 hours before the day was to begin, the teams split up into two, with Emily and Dave meeting Kate and Charles at Swinton park for their preparations and Claire and Megan meeting The boys at the church. Back at Swinton park the team had their work cut out with over 2 hours to take advantage of the stunning grounds this 5* Yorkshire  Wedding venue has to offer. Its not often that the Video and the Photography team get asked to photograph the grooms preparations, but with Charles laid back and friendly nature it became apparent that the day would be filled with fun, laughter and stunning photo opportunities.
When faced with such stunning surroundings, its easy to loose track of time so before they knew it, it was time to head over to the church for the ceremony. Unfortunately the day before the wedding the vicar told the bride and groom that they couldn’t have ceremony video any more and no photography at the front, however with the teams persuadive ways, they still managed to get some quality footage at the back. Its always worth double and triple checking with your church because many of them have different rules.
After the ceremony, the team left Kate and Charles to be congratulated whilst setting up for the confetti shot but then it was straight to Allerton castle where the award winning photographers and videographers prepared for the rest of the photos.
Allerton is a stunning castle in North Yorkshire perfect for a luxurious wedding filled with class. Offering plenty of photographic opportunities this venue is perfect rain or shine, but luckily despite the rain just a night before Kate and Charles had a stunning summers day the weather stayed perfect all day.
The happy couple had organised a string quartet and canapés for their drinks reception which was perfect outside in the sun and made well for some of the more casual photos and footage that the team love to get.
Kate and charles had thought a lot about what photos and had a few meetings with Dave to discuss their needs, they work together to make the most out of their special day which is always beneficial to the end results.
Once the formal shots were out of the way, both the video and the photography team took the wedding  party for a short walk around the grounds and got some smaller group photos. Then they  had time to focus just on the picture perfect Kate and Charles for their more romantic photos.
Both of them seemed to be no stranger to the camera as they posed for photos.

As the meal was later in the day starting late evening, the evening party followed straight after and the happy couple gathered guests after a quick chance into their dancing shoes. Kate and Charles had been practicing their favourite Strictly come Dancing routine An American Smooth for months and even bought Kate a different dress to perform it in.
It was a great way to end the night everyone seemed impressed at their confidence and not to mention their 3 incredible lifts!

Kate and Gavin Wentbridge House

_DS87772_BW

This weekend started out with at Wentbridge House, a venue we visited last september. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t quite as we expected it to be but this didn’t stop the leeds based photographers from getting some stunning shots from this picture perfect venue. Dave and Megan started out with Kate photographing her preparations. Despite the weather Kate seemed calm, collective and ready to meet her husband to be at the alter where Megan was
taking photos of the guys before she was to arrive.
Dave and Megan were not allowed any photography at the front of the church which was a real shame, how ever the team still managed to get some stunning photos from the back. By the time the happy couple and left the church Dave and Megan had noticed that the weather had brightened up for a little while meaning a quick dash back to went bridge ready to get straight back into photos.
Once all the guests were safe in shelter Kate and Gavin along with the team utilised the gardens as much as we could considering the weather.
Before long it was time for the speeches. Wentbridge offers a very generous amount of space in their rooms, meaning when the team photograph the speeches they rant in the way of everyone and can also easily get photos of peoples reactions and the little things happening around the room that the bride and groom may miss.

This weekend Dave and Megan , award winning leeds photographers attended Rochelle and Lee’s special day at Howley Hall. The team started the day at St Marys church in Morley.
Unfortunately the weather wasn’t looking too good at this point so with that in mind the team needed to work fast and efficiantly to ensure the grooms men all and their photos taken and kept dry before the bride was to make her grand entrance.

A short break in the rain meant Dave and Megan could quickly get some group photos outside the church. With just an hour to spare from the time Rochelle and Lee came out of the church to the time they had to be ready for their wedding breakfast the Dave Spink Photography team headed off to the venue to prepare for the next stages of the day.
As the happy couple arrived, Dave stopped with the vintage style bus to get some more romantic shots of just the two of them whilst Megan photographed all the details of the wedding breakfast rooms.
Luckily a second brief break in the weather meant Rochelle and Lee were able to get a few extra snaps to add to their stunning collation of photos.

Along with photography Rochelle and Lee hired our new ultimate Photo Booth, currently on offer for just £375!
A Photo Booth is a great way to end the night and makes a perfect wedding favour for all your guests as our unique booth can print double prints meaning you also receive a guest book of pictures and messages from the night

Leanne and Steven Marryoke and Video at The Woodlands Hotel

This weekend at the woodlands hotel the Dave Spink Photography team did a wedding video and Marryoke for the funny, outgoings and energetic Leanne and Steven.
These award wining videographers started the day at Leanne’s mums house, videoing her preparations as she got ready for the big day! But feeling a little nervous she has mentioned before she only wanted a little bit of videoing don’t at this stage of the day so they then made their way down to the church to prepare for the her grand entrance. From day one of booking they thought the idea of a Marryoke was a wonderful idea and a perfect addition to their special day so couldn’t wait to get planning with some ideas on the day.
The team were delighted to hear that their song choice was ‘Pharrell Williams – Happy’ which is a much loved song in the office and they couldn’t wait to started.
Prior to the day Dave and Megan spent a lot of time gathering ideas for each line making it easier to organise on the day and making sure that doing the Marryoke wouldn’t disrupt the actual flow of the day.  Considering the weather conditions just the day before, we were all surprised to see that the sun made an appearance but this was great as it meant while it was light out, they  could get footage outside in the stunning grounds of The Woodlands Hotel in Gildersome. The team were pleased to hear that all the guests were told prior to the wedding that they were having a Marryoke and explained what one was so all guests got right into it and enjoyed joining in on the fun.
One of the guests actually brought  minion teddy, so that made a little appearance as well in reference to the ‘Despicable Me’ Movie.
As the night went on and the sun set all that was left was to get a few clips on the dance floor. The DJ made an announcement saying that he was going to play the ‘Happy’ song and immediately people got on the dance floor and started singing along which looked great on the end result.

Rebecca and James – August 25th 2013

On Sunday the 25th of August, the Dave Spink Photography team had the pleasure of joining Rebecca and James for their special day. The wedding began at Thornhill Parish Church in Dewsbury. The church was dressed beautifully for the occasion, with doves at either side of the entranceway.

The guests took advantage of the warm summer sun and spent their time before the ceremony at the church gates. After guests had headed inside the church, Rebecca arrived in a Pink Cadillac from Cartwright’s Cars, greeted by her bridesmaids, her flower girls and her ring-bearer.

Rebecca made her entrance by ascending the stairs at the back of the church, cloaked with sunlight. Rings were exchanged and the couple soon exited the church as Mr and Mrs, husband and wife.

Following the ceremony, the doves at the church door were released by Rebecca and James from the Church grounds. After the confetti was thrown in the archway of the church gates, the couple made their way back into their pink Cadillac and drove to the reception venue: 315 Bar and Restaurant near Huddersfield.

The Dave Spink Photography wedding videographers rejoined the couple, taking the opportunity to explore the Wedding Breakfast room before guests entered, documenting the little details such as the tables named after famous couples like Mickey & Minnie and William & Kate, as well as scratch cards as wedding favours.

Rebecca and James had tailored their special day with their guests in mind, and with a number of children at the wedding, they hired a bouncy castle and an ice cream van to ensure that a good time was had by everyone there.

Thanks to the weather, the couple were able have their photographs taken outside. With a list of fun shots prepared, the bridal party weren’t short of a few laughs as the groomsmen threw themselves on the ground and the bridesmaids took up their poses as secret agents.

Steadily, the evening drew in, and the guests joined the couple by the dance floor to watch their first dance. The wedding was a lovely day for both the team and the guests there. Watch above to see just a few of the highlights of the day.

Philippa and Adrian – August 11th 2013

One of our first wedding videos in August was in the picturesque North Yorkshire town of Ripley. Philippa and Adrian chose to use the Ripley All Saints Parish Church for their Ceremony, which allowed for the members of the Dave Spink Photography team to spread out across the church to capture every moment.

After the ceremony was complete and the couple were married, the wedding guests headed back outside into the beautiful sunshine to shower the newlyweds with handfuls of confetti. From there, it was a quick walk to the reception venue of Ripley Castle.

The couple and their bridal party posed for photos in the arches of the entranceway to the castle, before Philippa and Adrian ventured further into the heart of the building to have more photographs taken together. Meanwhile, their guests took advantage of the space provided within the historical walls and spread out to mingle.

A little later, Philippa and Adrian were taken by their photographer Pete Bristo out to the spectacular grounds by Ripley Lake, joined by one of the members of the Dave Spink Photography team. The pleasant weather of the day allowed the team to capture the couple as they strolled along the side of the lake.

The couple soon returned to their guests and joined them in the Morning Room for the wedding breakfast. The Dave Spink Photography wedding videographers rejoined the wedding before the speeches began. There was laughter, tears, and the occasional heckle from the crowd as the speakers on the top table expressed love and adoration for the newlyweds.

As the evening drew closer more guests arrived, and the day was almost over for the Dave Spink Photography team. The guests joined Philippa and Adrian in the library for the couple’s first dance. The couple swayed, twirled and spun around the room, before inviting the guests to join them for the remainder of the evening’s festivities.
