Rebecca and Paddy Thorpe Park

Rebecca and Partrick opted for a more traditional Church wedding at Whitrick’s own St Marys church on Selby Road.
However the Leeds based photographers started their day bright and early at 10:30am for Rebecca’s Preparations. The atmosphere was calm and collective, likely to be the most relaxed prep the team have been to for a long time, Rebecca and her girls had everything under control and organised ready for the big day.
These Leeds based photographers are always thinking of new ideas and techniques to try make every wedding different and on this particular occasion they decided to light up the dress a little differently. Personally I think it looks fantastic. The Contrast brings out the vintage detail in the dress that Rebecca seems to love. Her whole day was organised around her love for the vintage style, everything from the dress, flowers , accessories and even the cake. The pastel colours all came together beautifully and saying she looked stunning on the day is an understatement!
As the weather unfortunately wasn’t on Rebecca and Patricks side this weekend, we had to get the group photos in her living room, but this didn’t dampen the mood. Everyone was smiling, laughing and just eager to get to the church to meet an extremely happy groom. The well prepared bride had already bought some umbrellas in anticipation of the rain making an appearence, so the team had quite a comicall moment escorting the bridal party one by one to the church so none of them got wet!
Church weddings are always that little bit different, its sometimes nice to be at a church so you get a wider variety of photos, and with the rain staying put after the ceremony the vicar was nice enough to let us take photos inside the church. Something the Award Winning Photographers from Leeds haven’t actually done before.
Once arriving at Thorpe Park the Dave Spink Photography team had some quick photos with the bus but after that had to embrace the fact that the rain was staying put and took photos inside the hotel. Luckily Thorpe Park offers some quirky areas for photos. For example the stair case is one they particularly like and not forgetting the fireplace!
The speeches took place before the meal, and they were different to say the least! Their 15 year old son stood up for a speech and left no eye in the house dry! However the best man took a little bit of a different approach , half way through his speech left the room, then returned half his original size! The guests , staff and even the team were left in stictches!
All there were left to do was the first dance and the cutting of that delicious looking cake, which was white chocolate mud pie.
Max, their 3 year old son was certainly enjoying taking some sneaky handfuls of their cake once Rebecca and Patrick had cut it.
For the evening celebrations they had organised a band, who also did their first dance song, making things that little bit more romantic, and wrapping up this amazing wedding beautifully and ending with one of our leeds photo booths! After a weekend of weddings these Leeds based photographers were tired, but had a fantastic weekend going to two weddings back to back doing what they do best.

Carys and Chris 14th of February 2014 at Oulton Hall

_DS81140-Edit_BW

This Weekend on the extremely popular Valentines day, The Dave Spink Photography team visited Oulton Hall for the wedding of Carys and Chris. The happy couple had the pleasure of these Leeds Based Wedding Photographers all day long as each package offers full day wedding coverage for all our weddings, meaning no moments throughout the day are missed.
Prep is always one of more hectic times of the day when it comes to weddings, however Carys seemed calm, collective and organised which is quite unusual for this time of the day.
Once finished with prep the team headed down to Oulton Hall where the girls had a few snaps outside this 5* venue. We were slightly delayed due to a few tears being shed.
It came to a surprise that the famous singer ‘Newton Faulkner‘ was actually staying at the hotel at the time, but we didn’t end up pestering him for photos, I’m sure he had other things to do! Maybe next time!
Carys and Chris had the unlucky English weather against them, but it didn’t stop these Award Winning Wedding Photographers from Leeds getting some amazing photos, which can be quite difficult when it comes to the bigger group shots. With the bonus of Oulton Halls inside balcony, it didn’t become a problem in the end. It always makes a difference on the day when you have got to know the Bride and Groom a little bit prior to the wedding day, so if possible at Dave Spink Photography we try to hold 2 meetings where you can talk about whats happening on your day, timings, and what the team can expect. This is also a great opportunity to look at our previous work and gather some ideas for what photos you may want specifically on the day, or even view our other services such as Vidography and our increasingly popular Photo booth’s.

Oulton hall offers a huge room for your evening celebrations plenty of room for a buffet, band and plenty of dancing.

Wortley Hall wedding photographers Sheffield South Yorkshire

Ryan and Nicola had their special day at Wortley Hall, However they opted for the more traditional church Service at St Peters church in Sheffield.
Although the exterior of St Peters Church in Sheffield was kept quite traditional, the interior was modified and upgraded to looks quite modern and light. This worked especially well as it gave a great contrast in the photos.
Church weddings are always great for them more traditional style photos and its also a fantastic opportunity to get a wider variety of photos from both the group shots and the more romantic shots.

Victoria and Toby – February 8th 2014

The first wedding video of twenty-fourteen took place a little away from home, in the beautiful city of Chester. The Dave Spink Photography video team joined Victoria and Toby for their magical winter-themed day at the Doubletree by Hilton hotel in Chester.

The team joined bride-to-be Victoria in her hotel suite, as she prepared for the big day ahead. The details of Victoria’s dress, perfume, and jewellery were memorialised on camera, as well as her giggles with the girls. From make-up, to hair, to fastening the bridal gown and slipping shrugs over dresses, each important moment was captured.

As the bride finished up preparations, the video team joined the groom and his groomsmen downstairs, capturing Toby’s moments leading up to saying ‘I Do‘. He posed for photographs with his groomsmen in the beautifully lit conservatory, before joining his guests in the Abbey Suite which was prepared for the the ceremony.

The red-brick walls of the Abbey Suite created a spectacular contrast to the decorations hand-picked by the bride and groom. Lanterns mounted on pillars lined the aisle, white trees draped with crystals and white flowers were placed to either side of the registrar’s table, with petals . A singer performed as the wedding guests arrived and took their seats.

For the bride’s entrance, the vocalist sang a beautiful version of Snow Patrol’s ‘Chasing Cars’. The flower girls and bridesmaid led the procession down the aisle. As Victoria – accompanied by her father – made her way down the aisle, Toby’s face lit up with a smile.

Victoria and Toby had both a beautiful and light-hearted ceremony. From choked up moments to a registrar mixing up the name of the groom and the best man in the exchange of the rings, there was a sense of elation in the room, a celebration of two people in love.

The couple exited as husband and wife to Jason Mraz ‘I’m Yours’ covered by their wedding singer. They then joined their guests in the conservatory for the drinks reception. Due to some unfortunate heavy rainfall, the bride, groom and guests were kept inside. Thankfully, the Doubletree by Hilton hotel made a beautiful backdrop for the day regardless, with plenty of space for the guests to socialise over glasses of champagne and bottles of Peroni.

The Dave Spink Photography video team stayed with the guests and the happy couple to capture the exchanges, ensuring that Victoria and Toby wouldn’t miss a moment of their day when the time came to watch their wedding DVD.

As with any event, not everything goes to plan, and for Toby and Victoria it was the unfortunately un-explosive confetti cannons that refused to blast confetti in the air. However, the bride, groom and guests made the most of the moment by shaking the confetti free and throwing it into the air. Problematic props aside, the drinks reception was full of laughter and chatter.

Shortly after, the wedding breakfast room opened for the team to capture the room prior to guests entering. For the videography team, this meant ensuring that every hand-picked detail was documented. The Winter Wonderland theme continued with snowflakes and baubles blended in with the decor. The cake sparkled, covered with a flurry of snowflakes. Each table was adorned with a stark white tree with candle-filled baubles.

Victoria and Toby had selected the Gold Package which includes video messages from guests. The team selected a quieter area of the wedding venue to set up a camera and invited their friends and family to take a seat and leave a message for the happy couple. From sweet and sentimental messages, to live and loud renditions of classic songs, the couple’s guests had a fantastic time in front of the camera.

By the time the evening reception began, the room had been transformed into a beautiful winter’s night, even including a life-sized animatronic polar bear. Dry ice rolled across the ground as Victoria and Toby took to the dance floor to share their first dance to Michael Jackson’s ‘Lady in my Life‘.

The team enjoyed a wonderful wedding, despite the rainfall that kept everyone indoors. Here at Dave Spink Photography, we’d like to wish all the best to Victoria and Toby.
